Confirmation Preparation: Our thanks and sincere appreciation to the many candidates and parents who attended the Wednesday Evening launch of the Confirmation Program.  Thanks too to the teachers and catechists who promoted and supported the Evening.  

State School Children:

Classes commence this Monday Evening 14 May at 3.45pm for Candidates in the Bay and Basin region at the Vincentia Hall.
Wednesday 16 May at 4.00pm for Candidates in the Nowra-Berry-Culburra area in St Michael's Hall. 

 

Spirituality in the Pub: Theme: 'On the Threshold...' Monday 14 May, 7.30pm, Jamberoo Pub.  Topic: The Way of Unknowing - Re-Imagining the Divine.  Speakers: Noel Davis (poet, mystic) and Emily Simpson (poet, Labyrinth facilitator).  Meals available from 5.30pm. St Michael's Youth Mass: Sunday 20 May at 6.00pm.  Mass is followed by refreshments in the Parish Centre and activities.

  Prayer Around the Cross Pentecost Celebration, drawing inspiration from the prayers and music of Taize in France. Friday 25 May, 7.30pm (note change of time) at St Michael's Nowra.
  The Gift of Years: What is God's invitation to us in the second half of life?  You are invited to a monthly gathering for an hour's reflection and sharing, followed by a cuppa.  Good Samaritan Convent, 27 Colyer Ave.  Starting Monday 21 May, 1.30 - 3.00pm.  Expressions of interest: phone 4421 2260.
  Stages of Faith Development in Children: for parents, grandparents, carers of 3 - 8 year olds.  How can we best support the natural stages of faith in young children at home and at play?  St Michael's Parish Centre, Friday 25 May at 8.50am.
  Diocesan Festival "Spirit Alive": You are invited to join the Diocese on Saturday 26 May at John Therry Catholic High School, Rosemeadow, any time between 10.00am and 4.00pm.  This is a time to be inspired and excited about the many ways we serve Jesus Christ through our Church.  There are rides for the children, many stalls, music, keynotes, showcases and a whole array of food from the many cultures in our Diocese.  Don't miss nationally recognised keynote speakers Fr Elio Capra (10.30am) and Sr Libby Byrne (2.30pm).  The day concludes with 4.30pm Diocesan Mass followed by evening youth festival.  Invite your friends and family.  Besides children's activities, child care is available on the day.
 

 Day Retreat for Young People: Saturday 19 May: "Send Forth Your Spirit" A day of fellowship, prayer and reflection on the workings of the Holy Spirit in our lives that enables us to live truly as sons and daughters of God.
